Client Profile

The client is a local civil engineering contractor operating in the Andes mountainous region of Colombia. They mainly undertake rural road reconstruction, hillside site grading, foundation excavation and drainage ditch projects. The construction site features steep slopes, mixed soil and rocks, which places high demands on the excavator’s stability and undercarriage durability.

Client Challenges

  1. Narrow mountain access roads, requiring strong climbing performance and reliable traction.

  2. Complex highland terrain, the machine needs stable power output to handle rock and earth mixed ground.

  3. Worry about long delivery cycle of spare parts and inconvenient on-site maintenance.

  4. Require complete export documentation for customs clearance at Colombian port.

Equipment Delivery & On-site Operation

The customer purchased the SDST medium crawler excavator. After sea shipment and customs clearance, the machine was transported to the mountain job site. It is deployed for slope cutting, earth moving and rocky soil clearing. On-site feedback: The heavy-duty track system provides excellent grip on steep hills. The machine delivers stable power and low fuel consumption, friendly for local operators.

Supporting Services

  1. Full set of export documents: Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Bill of Lading.

  2. Remote operation training: safe operation on slopes and routine maintenance checklist.

  3. Fast supply of wear parts, to minimize downtime of the construction project.

Project Outcome

The SDST excavator works continuously and reliably on Colombia’s mountain construction site, greatly accelerating the progress of earthworks. The customer is satisfied with the machine’s performance and has consulted for additional excavators and breaker attachments to expand their construction fleet.
